You should always include a cover letter when sending or emailing your resume to a potential employer. If a networking contact requests a copy of your resume, you should include a cover letter as well. This is a great opportunity to highlight your specific skills or achievements that are particularly relevant to the company you want to work for, or the job you are seeking.
